β β β β β Tori King was really good before they relocated. But now their food has been dropping in quality.
Their katsu sauce smells really weird, I don't know what they add in it or is it just past their expiry date, it's just not normal.
I am disappointed when I ordered yakitori 5 hon mori, which should serves me 5 types of my favorite chicken skewers.
I remember getting 5 types of delicious variant of chicken; but what I got now was only two normal cut chicken meat (momo & mune), the rest was gizzard & another one unidentifiable entrails, plus one cucumber.
They should have torinegi which is the classic chicken & leek, and the chicken meatballs.
And some of the waitress are so noisy chatting & joking with each other now. Unlike before, they aren't fluent with japanese and does not keep a comfortable atmosphere.
So if you are interested in going here, i think you should order the skewers specifically. The chicken tebasaki is especially good.

Sauce of tonkatsu is horrible.
Not enjoy this very much.
Staffs are noisy.
Spent around IDR 300k, we ordered menchie katsu (fridge smell and cold sauce), sauce donburi something with bad tonkotsu sauce, yakitori with a lot of offal and saba shio (not boneless).

β β β β β As an expat from Malaysia, I have tried various Japanese restaurants the country and have experienced many good and bad forms of Japanese cuisine. Although this would not be as close to authentic Japaneae cuisine from Japan, Tori King provides a comfortable environment with helpful and experienced staff members. Some notable meals to take note of is there Curry Rice, which is not only cheap but has big portions and their fresh chicken Yakitori, a twist to local Indoesian Satay.
