โ โ โ โ โ The Tontoki don is the rice bowl with thick-cut pork belly basted and grilled with sweet sauce and topped with fried onion. They give generous portion of pork belly. We also tried the Stamina don which consist of thinly sliced pork belly with salty shio sauce. You can also have it in tare (sweet) sauce but we choose the shio because the Tontoki don is already sweet. The lunch set comes with miso soup and a yakult to wash off the oily pork belly. We also tried the gyoza very meaty and tasted good. We ordered their katsu one time and the meat happens to be tough that time. We never tried it again after that.

I have had the mecha don and have had the pork bowl in the past. Have been here more than once and definitely will come back.

Too bad the last time I ordered a rice bowl, they were using regular non Japanese rice. A bummer for that price range.
The interior was also nice and looks very authentic. Unfortunately, there were no clear boundaries between smoking and non smoking areas

โ โ โ โ โ Apparently this place had a better, more varied menu before, but now the menu only has pork dishes, no beef, maybe no chicken or fish either...strange. Dishes were all saltier than desired, and not much other taste. The 2 small side salads of watercress and another veg were good. Decor attempts to evoke a Japanese village taken, we thought? But aircon was almost non-existent, making it unpleasant dining, and we rushed to finish eating, never thought of desserts. Service was erratic too.

โ โ โ โ โ Well this is a masterpiece of pork in a rice bowl. Yes the price is a bit high, however, the taste really will exceed your expectation therefore make it worth the money. The speciality is the tontoki don cost around 108k before tax n service charge. Comes in weekend where the crowd is lesser.
