Kenaikan manfaat program Jaminan Kecelakaan Kerja (JKK) dan Jaminan Kematian (JKM) tersebut dapat dinikmati oleh pekerja Indonesia tanpa harus membayar iuran lebih atau dengan kata lain dengan besaran iuran yang sama dengan sebelumnya.
Penambahan manfaat tersebut tertuang dalam Peraturan Pemerintah Nomor 82 Tahun 2019 tentang perubahan atas PP 44 Tahun 2015, tentang Penyelenggaraan Program Jaminan Kecelakaan Kerja dan Jaminan Kematian yang telah ditandatangani oleh Presiden Joko Widodo beberapa waktu yang lalu.
Di dalam perluasan manfaat JKK, pekerja yang mengalami kecelakaan kerja akan ditanggung biaya perawatan dan pengobatannya sampai sembuh berapapun biayanya sesuai dengan kebutuhan medis. Penambahan manfaat JKK pada perubahan PP 44 Tahun 2015 salah satunya perawatan di rumah alias homecare.
Lebih rinci dalam perawatan pengobatan di JKK ada dua perluasan manfaat yakni homecare dan pemeriksaan diagnostic. Tidak tanggung-tanggung biaya homecare mencapai maksimal Rp 20 juta. Perawatan di rumah atau homecare diberikan kepada peserta yang tidak memungkinkan melanjutkan pengobatan ke rumah sakit.
Sementara itu pemeriksaan diagnostik dimaksudkan untuk pemeriksaan dalam rangka penyelesaian kasus penyakit akibat kerja. Hal ini dilakukan untuk memastikan pengobatan dilakukan dilakukan hingga tuntas.
Selain itu, manfaat JKK juga ditingkatkan dalam biaya transportasi untuk mengangkut pasien yang mengalami kecelakaan. Biaya transportasi dinaikan dari Rp 1 juta menjadi maksimal Rp 5 juta Sementara itu biaya transportasi angkutan laut naik dari Rp 1,5 juta menjadi Rp 2 juta. Adapun angkutan udara dinaikkan menjadi Rp 10 juta dari sebelumnya Rp 2,5 juta.
