Sego bakar and ayam koteka are still my favorite here. Tips: better not to go here in lunch time during 11.30 - 13.00 because the waiting list is so ???. It is prefer to go here before 11.30 or after 13.00 to prevent the long queue. This traditional restaurant is highly recommended for family lunch/dinner

Had a chance to lunch in this restaurant during pandemic situation. It was crowded during lunch time, had to wait to be seated, table arrangements are close to each other, and all are non Air con and can freely smoke here. They served mostly traditional food and has lots of beverages variety. It tastes great and the price also fair. By the way they also has a horse in the cage near the toilet.

Located at jl. Faridan M. Noto, next to Mirota Bakery Kotabaru, it's surprisingly big enough restaurant, because there is second floor. I. My opinion, the foods taste is good enough, not so special; but the foods presentation is unique and seriously prepared, well done, although the quantity mostly too much. The dine in environment is so relaxed, but unfortunately feels a bit stuffy, maybe because of too much seat and too dark interior color. I think this condition is good for dinner, will make it more romantic atmosphere. The other unique thing is that all the waitress and waiter wearing traditional Yogyakarta outfit/clothing, and they are so friendly. Most of the foods prices are reasonable, and don't be shocked that you have to pay in advance. Unfortunately there is not enough parking space for your car, but you may park it at Mirota Bakery parking lot, thanks to Mirota Bakery

My first time to come here and the ambience shows the profound Javanese culture, starting from the place, the crews, and the foods. Most of them come with more reliable prices and for me they really suit me in the taste. And? I got a chance to see some horses near the toilet. That's another new encounter for me.

definitely a unique and interesting place. the service is slow but they are short staffed. not really fair to the staff to deal with basically a full house. i do like the pay at the table when you order feature though. once the food arrived however it was pretty good, especially the porridge. however, it is pretty dirty (there’s a lot of sitting on the floor) and that’s partly because there are 4 or 5 live horses IN the restaurant. they are literally living near the kitchen and the bathrooms. no idea why but saw this AFTER we ate. have to question the hygiene there. still, I’d recommended this place just for the experience alone.

The place was very busy when we went there early Tuesday evening. But it didn't take long until we were ushered in to our seats. The food we ordered were delicious and nicely prepared. The price was also very reasonable. Moreover, the waitress that attended us was very friendly and helpful. I liked that staff wore traditional Javanese attire. How it could have been better: The music was too loud for my liking. To my consternation the restaurant only accepted cash. Overall, it is a place worth visiting when you are in Jogjakarta.
