★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Never found fresh seafood at any ta-wan I’ve visited. Try not to sell only best porridge, once you have guts to serve crabs or fishes on your menu, make them also worth to try for multiple times.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The very highly recommended restaurant that must visit, the taste is very good overall, kungpao chicken, black pepper beef, and dori fish XO sauce that become my favourite menu when i visit this place DON'T FORGET to try the porridge that i think is very delicious :)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ta Wan is a popular chain that serves Chinese and Chinese-Indonesian cuisine. The Hartono Mall location is pretty standard in terms of size, but it perhaps has a better atmosphere than the Amplaz location. The food here is quite standard, which is not a bad thing.
I wish the tofu in sapo tofu weren't cut into smaller pieces. I presume it's a cost-saving measure, but it undermines dish significantly. If there was an "extra tofu" option for additional charge, I would take it, really.
When I tried the one of the porridge menus at the restaurant, I found that it was not very warm when served. The porridge was quite good taste-wise, but serving it warmer would have made it more satisfying.
