★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Sebagai salah satu kota di selatan Jakarta yang juga berbatasan dengan Bogor, Depok memiliki sejumlah situs budaya yang kaya akan nilai sejarah. Salah satunya yang cukup tersohor adalah keberadaan Sumur Gondang, di kawasan Kelurahan Harjamukti, Kecamatan Tapos.
Warga setempat percaya, sumur itu adalah salah satu situs peninggalan Kerajaan Padjadjaran.
Sebagai bentuk penghormatan atas warisan leluhur, di tempat ini sering kali dilakukan ritual, yang salah satunya adalah Sedekah Bumi. Ritual ini diadakan pada hari tertentu. Layaknya prosesi adat, ritual pun dipimpin oleh sejumlah tokoh masyarakat setempat lengkap dengan sajian khas masakan dan budaya perpaduan Betawi-Sunda.
Berdasarkan pantauan VIVA, Sumur Gondang ini layaknya sebuah kolam besar dengan ukuran lebar sekitar 10 meter dan dikelilingi sejumlah pohon besar yang cukup rindang. Untuk mengambil air di sana tidaklah sulit, karena terdapat tumpukan anak tangga dan tempatnya pun cukup terawat.
Air yang ada di sumur ini pun cukup jernih, maka tak heran jika warga sering kali mengambilnya untuk keperluan tertentu. Di atas permukaan air, terlihat taburan bunga yang sengaja ditabur oleh beberapa warga. Entah apa tujuannya, namun yang jelas ritual seperti ini ternyata telah berlangsung secara turun-temurun.

Like a traditional procession, the ritual is also led by a number of local community leaders, complete with typical Betawi-Sundanese cuisine and culture.
Based on VIVA's observations, Sumur Gondang is like a large pond with a width of about 10 meters and is surrounded by a number of large trees that are quite shady. To get water there is not difficult, because there are piles of stairs and the place is quite well maintained.
The water in this well is quite clear, so it's no wonder that residents often take it for certain purposes. Above the water's surface, several residents could see a sprinkling of flowers. I don't know what the purpose is, but what is clear is that rituals like this have been going on for generations.
