★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I love the food soto tangkar, so when my friend asked me whether I wanted to come, of course I said yes. Unfortunately it wasn't what I expected. I dunno whether this is how it's supposed to taste, but I prefer the ordinary ones...but you know different taste buds will say differently. I'm not saying it tastes bad, I'm saying it's not me....you make up your own minds...
The place is old, no AC, a bit hard for parking space...

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the best soto tangkar & beef satay in Jakarta!! They have lot of choice for soto tangkar. Their satay also have big chunk with very tender meat after barbeque. Must try for soto lover!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had lunch at this place recently and tried their specialties i.e. beef soto tangkar and beef satay. Both of the dishes were great and authentic Jakarta / Tangerang food. The soto soup is herby and thick with chunks of beef cuts. You can add the regular toppings like pickles, crackers and perkedel (fried potato cake). The beef satay is the best and actually even better than the soto soup.
The place is just a casual "warung" style diners so don't expect much ambience. Service is reasonable for casual diners.
Cost of the dishes are reasonable and quite good value for money. You can only pay by cash.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The soup is little bit spicy, buy so gravy and tasty, the soup is little bit taste like lodeh soup but it makes the soup very unique and gravy. The satay ia delicious, the meat ia tender and has smokey flavour on it. Overall is one of my favourite soto, but sadly the place looks old and so hot in there. Because telhey cooked the soup en satay traditionally using firewood and charcoal.

I found a lot better one at other place.
The space is rather un-clean and less neat.
The man grill the satay without blower, so the smoke fill whole area and your cloth will smell like charcoal afterwards.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Best spot to enjoy soto tangkar in jakarta. This place is the legend place. Their soto is rich of flavor, and maybe the thing that makes this soto is unique compare to the others is they're using terasi in their soup. So it has terasi aroma on it. The meat is tender.
And must try their sate too that mix perfectly with the peanut sauce.
FYI, the rice is free refill! So you can take it as much as you like.
Maybe the one thing that bothers me is they need to renovate the place since is quite unclean.
