★ ★ ★ ★ ★ SMPN 2 Mlati berada di Jombor Kidul, Sinduadi, Mlati, Sleman, Yogyakarta. SMPN 2 Mlati berdiri pada tanggal 1 April 1979 yang dulu bernama SMP Negeri Sinduadi. SMP Negeri Sinduadi merupakan intergrasi dari sekolah teknik (ST) Negeri Lempuyangan, akan tetapi berdasarkan SK menteri Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan No.030/U/1979 tertanggal 7 Februari 1979 tentang pembubaran ST maka pada akhirnya ST tersebut diintegrasikan menjadi SMP Negeri Sinduadi.
Berdasarkan SK Kanwil DIY No.052.II/LK.Kpts/1999, SMP Negeri Sinduadi berubah menjadi SLTP Negeri 2 Mlati yang kemudian pada tahun 2001 berubah menjadi SMP Negeri 2 Mlati sampai sekarang.
 SMPN 2 Mlati is in Jombor Kidul, Sinduadi, Mlati, Sleman, Yogyakarta. Mlati 2 Middle School was established on April 1, 1979, which was once called Sinduadi Public Middle School. Sinduadi Middle School is an integration of the Lempuyangan State Technical School (ST), but based on the Minister of Education and Culture Decree No.030 / U / 1979 dated February 7, 1979 regarding the dissolution of ST, the ST was finally integrated into Sinduadi State Junior High School.
Based on DIY Regional Office Decree No. 052.II / LK.Kpts / 1999, Sinduadi State Junior High School changed to SLTP Negeri 2 Mlati which later in 2001 changed to SMP 2 Mlati until now.
