★ ★ ★ ★ ★ SMP Negeri 3 Kalikajar merupakan salah satu sekolah negeri di Kabupaten Wonosobo yang berlokasi di lereng gunung Sumbing tepatnya di desa Kembaran Kecamatan Kalikajar. Siswa di Sekolah ini kurang lebih ada 540 orang, terdiri dari 18 rombel/kelas, dengan setiap rombelnya rata-rata 30 siswa. Guru dan karyawan SMP Negeri 3 Kalikajar sebanyak 35 orang. Sebagaian besar orang tua atau wali siswa dan masyarakatnya berprofesi sebagai petani. Jarak sekolah dari kota kabupaten kira-kira 18 km dan dapat ditempuh dengan angkutan pedesaan. Dengan latar belakang geografis dan lingkungan sosial pedesaan diharapkan SMP Negeri 3 Kalikajar dapat menghasilkan lulusan atau generasi-generasi yang berkarakter dan berkompeten sehingga dapat memberikan konstribusi yang positif bagi masyarakat dan lingkungannya.
Kalikajar State Middle School is one of the state schools in Wonosobo Regency which is located on the slopes of Mount Sumbing precisely in the village of Kembaran, Kalikajar District. There are approximately 540 students in this school, consisting of 18 classes / class, with an average of 30 students per class. Teachers and employees of Kalikajar Public Middle School are 35 people. Most parents or guardians of students and their community work as farmers. The distance of the school from the regency city is approximately 18 km and can be reached by rural transportation. With the geographical background and the rural social environment it is expected that SMP Negeri 3 Kalikajar can produce graduates or generations who are competent in character and so that they can make a positive contribution to society and the environment.

Tetapi dengan kondisi tersebut membuat warga SMP N 3 Kalikajar selalu bersemangat untuk menjadikan sekolah yang sama tarafnya dengan sekolah diperkotaan. Letaknya yang berada di Desa Kembaran, Kec. Kalikajar tepatnya di Jln.Ronggolawe membuat SMP N 3 Kalikajar selalu menjadi pilihan utama bagi lulusan SD yang berada disekitar Desa Kembaran karena memang letak SMP N 3 Kalikajar sangat strategis dan mutunya tidak kalah dengan sekolah lain. Pada tahun ini SMP N 3 Kalikajar mampu menampung siswa lebih dari 500 siswa karena gedung yang ada sangat memadahi.
