★ ★ ★ ★ ★ SMP Negeri 1 Wates adalah Sekolah Menengah Pertama yang berdiri sejak tahun 1945 yang memiliki nama pertama SMP Wates menempati gedung pertama bekas HJS Wates, didirikan dengan semangat perjuangan mengisi kemerdekaan dengan misi “memandaikan masyarakat” yang diprakarsai oleh Mr Sidarta (KRT Brotodiningrat) beserta L Marta Harsana. Pada bulan desember 1948 dilaksanakan bumi hangus termasuk gedung SMP Wates, kemudian dilaksanakan SMP darurat hingga pada tahun 1951 SMP Wates kembali menempati gedung bekas HJS yang telah diperbaiki.
Pada Tahun ajaran 1953/1954 SMP Wates menempati gedung baru yang berlokasi di Terbah Wates yang didirikan oleh pemerintah lengkap dengan sarana dan prasarana pendidikan dan seterusnya hingga SMP Wates melebur nama menjadi SMP Negeri 1 Wates.
Wates 1 Public Middle School is a Junior High School that was established in 1945 which had the first name of Wates Middle School occupying the first building of the former HJS Wates, founded with the spirit of struggle to fulfill independence with the mission of "presenting the community" initiated by Mr. Sidarta (KRT Brotodiningrat) and L Marta Harsana. In December 1948 scorched earth including the Wates Middle School building, then an emergency junior high school was implemented until in 1951 the Wates Middle School again occupied a repaired former HJS building.
In the academic year 1953/1954 Wates Middle School occupied a new building located in Terbah Wates which was established by the government complete with educational facilities and infrastructure and so on until Wates Middle School merged its name into Wates 1 Public Middle School.

Sekolah disini seru!!!!

There are LCD + projectors and fans in each class; computer labs, music labs, languages and IPA labs; cooking room; wifi; library; prayer room; 6 classes for 7th grade; 7 classes for grades 8 and 9; teacher "experienced!; accredited A; ever become RSBI; entering this junior high school. as well as the swimming pool and soothing plants!
School here is exciting !!!!
