★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Semula pendidikan Tamtama didirikan atau diprakarsai oleh Bapak Muhammad Tambeh (almarhum), mantan anggota Tentara Pelajar (TP) Detasemen III Yogyakarta Begade 17. Bersama dengan teman mantan Tentara Pelajar yang lain, belian membentuk Badan Usaha Pendidikan Tamtama yang berdiri pada tanggal 17 Agustus 1954. Kemudian badan usaha tersebut disempurnakan lagi dengan wadah sebuah Yayasan (Badan Hukum) di bawah Akte Notaris R.M. Wiranto, Yogyakarta No. 18 tanggal 16 Maret 1959 dan bernama : YAYASAN PENDIDIKAN TAMTAMA.
Bapak Muhammad Tambeh menjadi Ketua Umum Yayasan Pendidikan Tamtama yang pertama, selaku salah satu pendiri utama, sebagai badan yang melahirkan pendidikan ini beliau telah berjasa, yang telah wafat pada tanggal 14 September 1981 jam 13.00 WIB.
Cita-cita beliau yang kini telah terbukti, menghasilkan sekolah-sekolah dan lain sebagainya. Hal ini telah berlangsung selama 27 tahun dan berkembang sampai sekarang. Oleh karena itu cita-citanya dipertahankan dan terus ditingkatkan sepanjang masa dan dapat digunakan sebagai monumen hidup dari para Pejuang Kemerdekaan Republik Indonesia (Usaha Veteran PKRI).
Setelah meninggalnya Bapak Muhammad Tambeh sebagai ketua umum Yayasan RML Soemartono, penasehat aktif dan efektif Yayasan Pendidikan Tamtama, mantan Ketua DPR kotamadya Yogyakarta, untuk menjabat sebagai penggantinya ketua umum dengan surat keputusan Dewan Pimpinan Pusat Pendidikan Tamtama No. 20/SK/DH/IX/81 tanggal 17 September 1981. Berdasarkan Akta Notaris Daliso Rudianto SH Yogyakarta No. 9 tanggal 4 April 1983 dan dengan surat keputusan DPP YPT.
Initially Tamtama education was established or initiated by Mr. Muhammad Tambeh (deceased), a former member of the Yogyakarta Begade Detachment III Student Army (TP) 17. Together with other former Student Army friends, he formed the Tamtama Education Business Entity which was established on August 17, 1954. Then the business entity was refined again with a container (Legal Entity) under the Notary Deed of RM Wiranto, Yogyakarta No. 18 dated March 16, 1959 and named: TAMTAMA EDUCATION FOUNDATION.
Mr. Muhammad Tambeh became the first Chairperson of the Tamtama Education Foundation, as one of the main founders, as the body that gave birth to this education he was credited with having died on September 14, 1981 at 13.00 West Indonesia Time.
His ideals which have now been proven, produce schools and so forth. This has been going on for 27 years and growing until now. Therefore his ideals are maintained and continuously improved throughout time and can be used as a living monument of the Independence Fighters of the Republic of Indonesia (PKRI Veterans Business).
After the death of Mr. Muhammad Tambeh as chairman of the RML Foundation Soemartono, active and effective advisor to the Tamtama Education Foundation, a former Chairperson of the Yogyakarta municipal House of Representatives, to serve as his successor with a decree from the Central Education Board No. No. 20 / SK / DH / IX / 81 dated 17 September 1981. Based on Notarial Deed No. Daliso Rudianto, Yogyakarta No. 9 April 4, 1983 and with the decision letter of the DPT YPT.
