Dulu SMK NS Kemiri adalah Sebuah SMK yang didirikan dengan nama SMKN 5 Purworejo, saat itu didirikan pada sekitar bulan november 2003, namun karena kampus yang berdiri di kompleks Ponpes Nurussalaf Kemiri ini pada akhirnya sekitar bulan februari di rekomendasikan untuk berdiri sendiri dengan integrasi pondok pesantren dengan moto disiplin, religius. Setelah direkomendasikan berdiri sebagai SMKS lalu pada bulan juli disahkan oleh bupati Purworejo H. Marsaid S.H, M.Si kala itu dan Berdirilah SMK NURUSSALAF KEMIRI. Jadi jika anda mencari SMKN 5 PURWOREJO sekarang maka anda tidak akan menemukannya, karena SMK tsb telah berganti nama Sebagai SMK Nurussalaf Kemiri.

History of SMK Nurussalaf Kemiri
In the past, SMK NS Kemiri was a SMK that was established under the name SMKN 5 Purworejo, at that time it was founded around November 2003, but because the campus which stood at the Nurussalaf Kemiri Islamic Boarding School complex in the end around February it is recommended to stand alone with the integration of Islamic boarding schools with motto of discipline, religious. Diantaranya ada jurusan Teknik Akses Jaringan Telekominukasi, jurusan Teknik Komputer Jaringan, jurusan Teknik Kendaraan Ringan Otomotif, jurusan Perhotelan Syariah dan jurusan Teknik Bodi Sepeda Motor. Masing masing jurusan tersebut memiliki ruang praktek yang dilengkapi dengan alat alat yang lengkap. Jumlah ruang kelas cukup banyak, jadi kamu gak perlu khawatir gak diterima di sekolah ini. Rata rata jumlah siswa yang masuk setiap tahunnya bisa mencapai 300an anak. Banyak kan? Extrakulikuler yang ditawarkan juga cukup menantang, ada robotic, arung jeram, film, pencak silat, drum band, footsal, sepak bola, voli, pramuka, hadroh dan qiroah. Sekolah berwarna gedung biru muda atau biru langit ini bisa kamu temui dekat pasar Kemiri atau lebih tepatnya sekolah ini berada di timur pasar Kemiri. Kalo kamu kesasar kamu bisa tanya orang sekitar pasar dimana letak SMK Nurussalaf Kemiri. Pasti banyak yang tahu. Lulusan SMK Nurussalaf Kemiri siap Kerja di PT, masuk TNI/POLRI, Kuliah, masuk Pondok Pesantren, bahkan Wiraswasta / Kerja Mandiri. Terakhir aku ceritain ke kamu, kalo sekolah ini ada CCTV di tiap ruang kelas dan koridor jalan serta ada Free Wifi. Wah keren kan?
