★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Sekolah ini, dahulu sebelum tahun 1990 statusnya adalah Sekolah Pendidikan Guru (SPG Muhammadiyah Gendol). Karena ada peraturan Pemerintah tentang penutupan Sekolah Pendidikan Guru se Indonesia maka beralihlah sekolah tersebut menjadi SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Gendol. Walaupun demikian semoga sekolah -sekolah Muhammadiyah tetap eksis selamanya.
This school, before status in 1990, was a Teacher Education School (SPG Muhammadiyah Gendol). Because there is a Government regulation regarding the closure of Teacher Education Schools throughout Indonesia, the school has changed to become SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Gendol. Nevertheless, hopefully Muhammadiyah schools will continue to exist forever.
