★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Having tried various other restaurants serving same food, we definitely agreed that this place has the best Kuo Tie & Sekba! ??????
They serve 2 types of Kuo Tie: fried & boiled, both are good but we love the fried Kuo Tie, crunchy on the outside, meaty & not too oily — the boiled version has same tasty fillings and would be a healthier option.
Sekba (sometimes called bektim) is a Chinese Indonesian pork offals stewed in mild soy sauce-based soup. The stew tastes mildly sweet and salty, made from soy sauce, garlic, and Chinese herbs. The Sekba here has rich taste & it was well cooked so the texture is not chewy. There are many choices from different parts of pork: belly, intestines, ears, etc. so just choose any parts you like and they will cut & serve it for you.
The casual ambience here is typical of hawker food stall with semi open-air dining style (no air con here), where people actually come to enjoy the food. The service was also good & quick.
