★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have a plan to visit Sehangat Pia Cookies after the pandemic and when I come to BSD area. So excited to try this homemade pia cookies. One day, I found that they also sell this sweet treats on a marketplace, so that I ordered it. It took for about four days until the pia cookies arrived to my home.
What is Pia Cookies? It is actually a quite big cookie in a round shape that has thick and mushy texture with the melted filling if you warm it again as stated on the handwritten message form the owner. Best eating it after we warm it. From the guidance on the packaging, we could warm it in three methods that we could choose, such as :
1. Microwave for 20 seconds
2. Oven for 2 - 3 minutes
3. Pan for 15 seconds each side
For the pia cookies, they provide Matcha Latte, Choco Melt, Strawberry Milk, Cookies & Cream flavors. They also provide small bites of Honey and Ginger cookies.
I tried Matcha Latte Pia Cookies (IDR 15,000). I used the third method (pan) to warm this pia cookies, but unfortunately the matcha inside was not that melted. I think I should warm it in bigger heat and longer time. Tastes good and less sweet. Let's try again someday to make the filling melt ?
This pia cookies can be stored out of the refrigerator for 14 days.
