Di dalam hirarki jabatan kolonial, kontrolir bertugas sebagai penasehat dekat Bupati yang dipilih oleh pemerintah kolonial dalam melaksanakan kepentingan politik pihak kolonial Belanda. Jendela besar dan panjang menandakan bangunan ini bergaya Eropa. Kini dipakai sebagai SD Negeri 3 Temanggung.
This building was used as the official residence of the 'Controleur' or controller. In the colonial office hierarchy, the controller served as a close adviser to the Regent selected by the colonial government in carrying out the political interests of the Dutch colonial party. The large and long windows indicate this European style building. Now used as SD Negeri 3 Temanggung.
