★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The quality has dropped and it's kind of overpriced now. I loved going to this place with my dad and my late aunty, I remember the meat was juicier, more tender and the kocor sauce was kicking, now the food looks kind of sad for a >Rp30k meal.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place serves beef satay with peanut sauce. Not my personal favorite, but the taste is nice. Beef is very tender and the peanut sauce is tasty. Because there is no table and chair, we have to eat on the mat. A bit troublesome when it is raining though.

People gathered around, sellers of many things surrounded the field, happy and worry free ambience, although it happened in a simple and dusty field with oil lamps on the sellers booth.
It still does the same to my eyes... btw, the food...
This sate karang is a beef satay with peanut sauce when delivered. It's a little bit sweet for some people, yes it is. But when we eat it with the rice cake (lontong) poured with soya cake (tempe) on light coconut milk soup (lodeh), which has savory taste, it would become a perfect match!
We can find many other sellers near this sate booth, for instance : wedang ronde (drinks from ginger and various filling), makes it doble perfect to dine in here.
Recommended to visit in groups, with the chit-chat while waiting, it makes triple prefect match!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Having dinner at this traditional restaurant made me throwing back to the old times of studying at this city. The satay is quite tender and juicy with a peanuts sauce. It is recommended to try the lontong sayur as the companions.

Already renovated, there is nice open shelter in this area, replace temporary tent that used before by the tenant. You can enjoy legendary Sate Karang, which is beef satay (beef skewer) combine with rice cake with coconut soup. So delicious. You can also find other traditional foods in this area, such as: traditional Javanese noodle, traditional fried chicken and fried cat fish (pecel lele). Spacious parking area. This place usually open after 5 pm.
