Because the location is in the cross road between Sabang and Wahid Hasyim which always crowds with motorcycles and cars. The locations also on small kiosk and open air so you can imagine how dusty there ?
I tried the satay lamb and chicken soto. The lamb is tough in my mouth, my teeth really work hard to chew it. The sauce of the soup is delicious enough. The chicken satay just good, the meat is small enough i think

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The location is right on the perimeter of Jalan Sabang, Central Jakarta, this is also what makes the tavern popular as Sabat Goat Satay. The owner is Jali Suprapto, a native man from Lamongan who started selling since 1963. The store is not spacious, maybe only able to accommodate around 10 visitors, but at the end of the night the shop is equipped with additional tents. Under this tent there are additional tables and chairs that are never empty of visitors.

But pricing system was fishy.
15pcs of sate kambing was Rp84,000
15pcs of sate ayam was Rp50,000.
Better to confirm prices when you place your order.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the legendary eating place in central Jakarta area but tastewise is not the best, or not anymore. Their goat satay is tough and their chicken satay taste bland. Its bit more of the expensive side for a streetfood stall.

Pros
The food was awesome, must try for kambing / lamb meat lovers!
Cons
This price is non air-conditioned and its beside a busy road so if the heat and dust affects your comfort, you may not want to visit this place
There was no price list on the menu and after we finished our meal, we find that the charges to be on the high side of things - perhaps due to its central location and the fact that we were foreigners.
