★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Specialize in mutton dishes such as satay Boental (minced mutton satay), Gule (pieces of mutton in spicy broth), etc. Gule style is very light which perhaps is the Solo style where the shop originates. Taste is good. Satay boental is not quite as tender as I expected. Maybe if cooked slower over charcoal smoulder could improve the satay. I notice the guy cooked the satay over flaming charcoal to speed things up. Price is a bit high. Roadside open shop so expect a bit of traffic noise. Too bad they dont have mutton fried rice.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great Satay. But the place is small and the smoke will go in the place. Try the sumsum dish, you get to suck the bone marrow straight from the bone with a straw! So overall so so place but great food.

Food served like at home on an old style decorated plate, relax and homey atmosphere, and close from Malioboro. It is no big place but the one you should not miss. For anyone who seek for taste bud indulgement, come to this place and the spice and sate meat will entertain to the fullest.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Idk why people don't recommend this place more often. They have the greatest Mutton "buntal" Satay all around Yogyakarta and had been there for so long. You should also try their "emping" (cracker). Definitely worth the price.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The tasty Sate Buntel from Solo is here! The price for Sate buntel is 50k-60k and its quite pricy than the one at solo. Too bad the service took them too long to serve our food, thankfully the taste of the food helps us ease the long wait. They have other menu such as Gule tengkleng and Gule Sumsum, and you should try that too.

My personal fav is the Sate Urat, Gule Sumsum and the Sate Buntel. ❤️
The dining venue is so classic, like we're back to the 70's era. Parking is available on the street side, gonna be challenging during the peak hours or holiday season.
