A lot of people complain about the price of this restaurant. The price is regular (see the bill - 150k for 3 people). Just the pricing policy is "unusual". There's no menu with prices, only the items. If you wish to know you have to ask. But there were no bad surprises.
I liked, we got free teh tawar, the taste was nice (refill included).
The Nasi putih and the Nasi uduk are both good. Some people wrote in their reference the Nasi uduk would be specifically tasty, but it's regular. (good tho, just not amazing)
What made me give 4 stars was the strange concept of hygiene. The table was dirty and there was a lot of debris laying around the floor.
The ibu was cleaning it frenetically but I'm not a fan of the policy "we only clean when we get guests". Our table was getting cleaned fast when we selected it. Too fast, there were still some leftovers from the previous guests.
Better clean slower when the guests are leaving. Also some of the forks were dirty.
The Cobek Nila (a sour-spicy soup with a Nila Goreng) was tasty. In my opinion a little too sour-salty, but that's apparently OK.
The weeds are complimentary on any order: Cucumbers, lattice, lime-basil and lenca (green berries). Everything fresh
The sate maranggi is different from the general sate in Indonesia. More like Shashlik. But the meat is good, the fat is savvy and the sambal nicely spicy.
The Lele Goreng is OK.
The Ayam Bakar is tasty, the Tahu Goreng is standard.
