★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The best indonesian food restaurant in jakarta. They have english menu. Wide varieties of meal, snack and beverage. They even serve jamu or javanese herbal drink as complimentary on friday. Must try!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A crowd favorite. Always super crowded. Great local delicacies, excellent selections, inexpensive prices, superb ambience, and good service.
Tables are too closely arranged to my liking. But the taste, price and ambience justify the minor inconvenience.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I feel Remboelan has dropped in its service quality. Some time ago, I used to order ketoprak but in their other restaurant in Plaza Senayan and it was nice. This time ordered ketoprak again and realized there were several changes to the dish. To me, the portion was larger than before especially they added the egg. The peanut sauce was bad and the overall taste was not like ketoprak at all. The lumpia tasted as it was 1 week old and had displeasing taste. I requested the peanut sauce to be blend with 1 chili. It turned out it was too spicy for me as. It seemed as there were at least two chilis (see picture). If not, had I known they will use a huge chili, then I would have asked to be a little bit spicy.
The bakwan jagung was nice. But because of the unpleasant ketoprak experience, I am giving this restaurant a 2-stars. Perhaps Remboelan now is famous and expert for selected meals only.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Visited Remboelan Kota Kasablanka for dinner. Let's start introducing my orders. First menu is Empal Kelem Jawa Roro Ayu (Javanese style shredded slow cooked beef) which is tasty and totally recommended this one. Second menu is Sate Sambal Matah Uluwatu using beef meat (marinated beef satay topped with Balinese "sambal matah"). Move to third menu which is Tahu Isi Udang Lembang (fried bean curd stuffed with vegetable and prawn, served with sweet chilli sauce). Next, forth menu which is Gurame Parape Ujung Pandang (gourami fish topped with "Parape" sauce). Fifth menu that I ordered is Kangkung Bumbu Terasi (stir-fried "Kangkung" vegetables cooked with house special sauce). Last dish menu, which is sixth menu is Soto Betawi (Betawi (Jakarta) style coconut beef stew, served with "sambal cuka" and "melinjo crackers). For dessert, I also ordered Es Campur Remboelan (shredded ice with combination of jackfruit, fermented cassava, sugar palm fruit, coconut meat, jelly, avocado, and black grass jelly with manalagi syrup and condensed milk) which is mark the seventh menu. Overall for Remboelan, i'm gonna rate them 4.5 out of 5.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ this time it was still break fasting outside the house but with friends from work, for the place we chose remboelan in the city of Kasablanka. because the place order is far away so we can get the right place at break fasting time, for the food itself here serves more Indonesian specialties, the menu that we have ordered includes grilled fish, Soto Betawi, Tofu, Tempe and also the drink is iced tea sweet and mixed ice.
The place is quite comfortable it's just that the air conditioner is too fast and cold so the food also feels cold very quickly if it's not eaten quickly.
