★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Falling in love with this beach... So much beautiful... There is a lot of photo spot in the high hill near light house (mercusuar)...
The sand was beautiful, and the special things here is the river comes to meet the sea... And you can enjoy the river near beach, you can swim there... Absolutely awesome when I see the river comes from the under cave and flows to the sea... Speechless...

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It was a different beach experience. Not so much a swimming beach because it's prohibited. But I enjoyed the view, and the beach was surprisingly clean compared to the public beaches in the Philippines where you'll see litter everywhere.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The beach is over populated. The stores are too many and too crowded. It makes the beach felt dirty even though the trash management is good actually (some people gather the trash periodically and carry it with a pick up car). In the other hand, the facilities are quite complete for Indonesian standard. You can even find some sinks to wash your hand.
The trees around the beach make it feels less hot there. There is a lighthouse on top of the hill beside the beach. The scenery is amazing there. You can spot the ladder to the lighthouse in the left side of the shore. You can use a local boat to enjoy this beach. It costs Rp10.000,00/pax but you can negotiate to get a lower price if there are many of you.
There's a river beside the beach. The river directly affect the beach. If its raining from the places where the river passing by, the water in the beach will become muddy and brown, even when there's no rain in the beach. Its dangerous to swim there because some whirlpools can emerge where the ocean water meets the river water.
But you can absolutely enjoy the seafood there. Baron is the beach with the best seafood around Gunungkidul. You should negotiate to get lower price from the shop owner.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Awesome getaway place! Beach is clean and is connected with a freshwater river. Waves are however big and can be dangerous... But the river mouth is safe for children to swim... Great place to relax and have a fresh coconut!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is one of paradise in southern of Jogjakarta. It is located in Gunung Kidul region and easy to access. It is close to Kukup and Krakal beaches which are beautiful as well. The beach is quite quiet in low season. Unfortunately, some of the locals will unofficilly charge you to use some facilities. Even though it was not really expensive, but still, it is quite unfortunate. If there is official notice from the beach manager about the additional fees that would be no problem at all since the views are relly worthwhile. But overall, the beach is amazing.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Definitely one of the easier pantai to get to. The road is well maintained and the facilities are great. There is a lot of vendors for food and anything that uou may have forgotten like mats, slippers, and towels. There is a small fee for parkir, but it is definitely worth it to come here with your friends or family. There is a lot of nature to be had here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What a nice beach! The view was really good. the waves’re quite fast, should be careful when you caring out children here. When I went there, the local people said that we could swim but the officer said that it was forbidden due to the waves condition. You will spend about 60 until 90 minutes to get here from Jogja city by motorcycle. To get to the location you should buy the ticket first, and you can use the ticket for another beaches near Baron.
