★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Groceries market for clothes, shoes, accessories, bags, etc. If you only want to buy one piece, do a hard bargain to get cheaper price. Lots of sellers, lots of items type to choose. But the parking space is always full. Oftentimes we need to park outside og market area.

You can find many things in here, for example: clothes, glasses, school uniform, household utensils, fruits, medicine, etc. The quality is good and the price is cheaper. This place is located near the jatinegara train station. the minus is that the road is very crowded, so watch your every step.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Outside you can see as an old building, this place is one of traditional department store should I name this like that?! But others usually call it as jatinegara traditional market. When you come inside, you will see retail and wholesale clothes, interior decoration, baby's stuff, school uniform, office stationery, and many more. For quality goods, you can find from low, medium scale product sell in here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Always love this market. It is not a very cozy as mostly malls are. However, it provides all needs; just mention clothes for the whole family members, household utensils, kitchenware, stationeries, kid's toys, fruits, medicine, jewellery, baking tools and ingredients, and many more.
We can even find costumes commonly sought after by kindergarteners for the school events, such as traditional costumes from different parts of Indonesia and those of different occupations.
Awesome market!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ You can search everything here. From vegetables, meat, frog, fruits, chicken, to house hold equipment like broom or mop. They also have many clothes seller inside their modern building. Some space have a nice air conditioner but some space is a wet traditional market. But its nice to shop here since you can find everything in one place. You can also buy some vintage food that rare to found in modern life at Jakarta. Like there is Rangi cake seller, mie selat Jatinegara, sate padang and cendol ice on the corner of the market. When it comes to Ramadhan, people are full inside the market so be prepare when you buy thing here.

If you're taking a train from Central or East Java to Jakarta, you can board off at Jatinegara Station and continue to the nearest hostel at this area.
since this area can be quite cheap if you can find it for your backpacker trip ;)
