★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I see that most of the reviews says that UAJY is one of the most prominent, favorite private university in Indonesia. While despite all those positive-tone feedbacks, my personal experience with this university was not good, if not bad, to be honest.
I applied as a lecturer here. I went through each process until they asked to sign something, like a contract. But then they disappear with no information afterwards. I called them, but they intended to not pick up. My chats were left read, there was no single response. Meanwhile, all other applicants had already got announcement whether they were accepted. I wasn't given any information in any kind, at all, at thayt time. Then I decided to come to the office to meet one of their HR Representative to ask about my status, but they said that they hadnt reached any decision yet, especially the FBE. I came home but then at the same day I've got an email with announcement that I wasn't accepted. The letter was dated 3 weeks ago, which means they actually have made decision on me but they didnt give me the information, whatever the reasons are. I was... wow. They dumped me with no respect, whereas in this position it wasn't merely me who is in need, they do too, honestly. It was proven enough that if their lecturer recruitment process was bad, I'm not sure about their students' quality. I'm sorry UAJY, but I have to share this let people know and decide your worth.
