Jika dulu motor jenis bebek banyak dipakai masyarakat Indonesia, sekarang ini orang sudah beralih untuk menggunakan motor matik dengan transmisi otomatis, karena lebih praktis digunakan.
Perbedaan paling mendasar ada di komponen penggeraknya, kalau motor bebek pakai rantai, motor matik mengandalkan CVT (Continuous Variable Transmission) untuk memutar roda belakang.
Sayangnya komponen CVT jadi bagian yang enggak termasuk untuk diperiksa dan dibersihkan saat servis rutin di bengkel resmi, karena ada biaya jasa tersendiri untuk membersihkan CVT.
Alhasil CVT baru akan diperiksa dan dibersihkan jika ada kerusakan atau timbul gejala gredek (getar). Biasanya gejala ini akan muncul akibat kotoran yang menumpuk dan mengganggu kinerja kampas kopling dan mangkok koplingnya.
