★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is the legendary swimming pool in temanggung town. It has good facilities for swimming and playing as well, and of course here we are served by nice mountains view.
Meanwhile the ticket price is still cheap comparing to facilities we can used. The parking area is also still sufficient, at least no issue about parking.
Further more, in the surrounding place there are various local food stalls which provide local and traditional favorite foods. The special foods in here are local vegetables with peanuts (pecel) and various kind of fishes.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Pikatan water park formerly is a bathing temple which was built by Rakai Pikatan from Ancient Mataram Kingdom. Pikatan Water Park has its own water source from the earth water which is collected in a pond and big enough to water the water park and used by local villagers for cooking, bathing and water their crops.
The water on this water park is usually drain by the official one a week (on thursday) for the olympic pool. Pikatan Water Park usually used by Youth and Education Departement of Central Java Province to carry out Regional Sport Week for Elementary School, Junior and Senior Highschool.
This Water Park has a vast area for your family to have a picnic. It is recommended to bring your own mattress eventhough there is a rental here. Children can play and have many acrivities with their parent inside this water park. The main unique selling point of this water park is the source of the water which comes from natural earth water and fishes which liveon the river which flow through this waterpark. Though there are lot of other game beside the water game such as small atv track, small train for children, and waterball, it is not very challenging for youth above 15 yrs because this water park haven't add other water game except water slides. There are about 10 water slides on the pool which have different height and twirls and go to different pools.
This place have other good facilities for their visitors. This place offers a wide parking lot (vast enough for 8 buses), cafetaria (which sells snacks, instant noodles and rice), a rest room for moslem to do their prayer, 4 different places for visitors change their swimsuit (equipped with hot showers), a medical unit (ready to help visitor that got an injury caused by cramp or getting scratched by rocks on the pool), and a swimming class which managed by local trainer that used to train athlete to join Regional Sport Week.
At all it is worth it to pay about Rp 15.000 - Rp 25.000 for the ticket. You can enjoy the natural water and the cool ambience of Temanggung.
