Nice museum but small. There is an entrance fee to get inside, it costs IDR 5,000 and you will have a guided tour inside. People are very friendly. There is a small workshop inside where you can do different kinds of batik for free. Just next to the museum there is the biggest mosque in Pekalongan and also the KM 0 point right in front of the museum. You only need arou d 30 - 45 minutes to stroll around. They only have 3 rooms for you to get inside.

You will get helped understanding batik industry especially in Pekalongan. The place also displays many variants of batik across the country even overseas so you might guess what are the differences. In the end section you can learn how to apply "malam" as one of several steps of making artisan batik.
