★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I ate here, yesterday. The place is easy to be found from a normal traffic situation. The ambience is so-so. The taste is delicious. They serve soto, but their soto is using less vegetables (only rice and meat, less vegetables). You can eat extra meat with some charge. A bowl of soto is IDR 15K and a glass of ice tea is IDR 5K. In my opinion, it is expensive. But, the taste is worth it. Most of the customers are upper-middle-income people.

They have visited this place for the tasty soto sapi which boast its umaminess and spice since their younger days. You can also ask for extra beef, which cooked in "empal" style that gave their unique taste and emphasise the soto's taste. Recommended place to be visited when you are in Jogjakarta, and beware that due to its popularity it might be sold out by 1500.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Here is the main outlet of the Soto pak Soleh food chain. If you like sweet, savoury beef soto soup, then this is the best place for you. I and my wife are regular customers here. We have also tried other pak Soleh outlets, but this offers the most delicious and fresh soto. We usually also order a sweet beef bacon and ask the waiter to slice it into small bites. My fave drink is iced tape ketan (sticky rice tapay). Vast parking lot for cars, and indoor parking for motorbikes. Minuses: not so clean toilets and musholla (moslem prayer place). The parking man is old, helps nothing with motorbikes but asks for money.
