★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Pendopo Padepokan Pencak Silat is located inside of Taman Mini Indah Indonesia (TMII) complex in East Jakarta. TMII is a very large park that build as the miniature of Indonesia. Pencak Silat is Indonesian traditional self defense. This building itself was inaugurated by the 2nd President of the Republic of Indonesia, Gen. H. M Soeharto, on April 20, 1997. Padepokan Pencak Silat Venue has several parts, such as the main pavilion as a crater for the candradimuka which is usually done for training programs. Then Pondok Gedeh, as a bracelet is equipped with stands with a capacity of 3,000 game seats, two sets of VIP stage chairs, toilets and sound processing systems along with lighting. In June 2018, the Pendopo Padepokan Pencak Silat was renovated, with the addition of a lighting system using a broadcast standard with a luminance power of 1,500 Lux. This is the standard for broadcasting high definition (HD) television. This venue had been ready the location for the fighters at the 2018 Asian Games to win gold medals. Pencak silat was one of the new sports that had been contested at the 2018 Asian Games. In the previous edition, pencak silat has never entered this four-year event. Indonesia was the best participant in pencak silat contest that time.
