★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is one of the history museum in Jakarta that located a little bit hidden from the main road, but it is still can be accessed by public transportation. The museum may not equipped with air conditioner, but the big park inside the place makes the weather quite cool. The collection of this museum is laid out in a very tidy way. You can see the details of National Awakening history in Indonesia and the story of people (national heroes) behind the story.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a hidden gem in Jakarta! I love how well they take care of this museum. Beautiful gardens, cozy outdoor, well maintained, very clean, well decorated, and of course amazing historical writings about Indonesia. But the best part of this museum is diorama! They even have life-sized diorama! You can take picture with them as well, so awesome! It will take sometime to stroll around the whole museum and you might get tired and thirsty but don't worry, they have a canteen at the back of the museum. And 1 more thing, you only pay Rp 2000 for the ticket and you'll get a souvenir! I got a plastic fan and I was so thrilled. Thank youuu ❤

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The building collects 2,042 items related to the Indonesian National Awakening including original furniture of the school building, medical equipment, medical costumes, weapons, photographs, paintings, sculptures, dioramas, miniatures, sketches and maps.
The museum is divided into four-themed exhibition rooms: "Room of Early Revolution", "Room of National Awareness", "Room of Revolution" and "Memorial Room to Boedi Oetomo".

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This museum suppose to open at 0900 but we got luck they allow us in at 0830, better comes early in the morning due to car park is limited. This museum is good to get known our history. I strongly advice you to get tour guide that provided free as they able to tell the detail history, timelines, behind the story as well as activities they conduct that you will miss if you do museum tour at your own. Our guide today is Ms Yusti which knowledgeable and tell us in clear and interactive way (thank you Ms and Mr Security Guard). Most room is aircon so no sweat although we have to walk room by room. Seeing a place where history being made as well as diorama and infographic being presented makes us become part of it. For sure my child now know better the history that they read from school and see it with their own eyes as their foundations to create the great ones for future generation.
