β β β β β Myeong-ga Myeon-ok is a great choice to enjoy authentic and tasty Korean dishes not in a "strong" spices. This Korean restaurant is a hidden gem in Kelapa Gading that is recommended. The place is quite comfortable. Before starting with main dish, they will give us a lot variant of Banchan (Korean side dish) freely and can be refilled, such as kimchi, vegetables salad, pajeon, fried squid, radish, sweet cassava, etc. I like their kimchi, pajeon, radish, fried squid.
Here are what we tried :
Samgyepsal (IDR 118,000)
It is a grilled thick, tender, and tasty pork belly. It was already grilled in their kitchen, so that when arrived at our table, it was ready to eat. This also my first time eating meat in Korean style by wrapping the meat along with grilled garlic and sauce into the lettuce. That was so great!
Tteok Bok Ki (IDR 98,000)
Stir-fried rice cake served with fish cake, vegetables, and thick red sauce that is not spicy. The portion is huge. Suitable for sharing among 2-4 persons.
Jeop Si Man Du (IDR 15,000/pcs)
Steamed Korean dumpling with thick filling of minced pork. It is so good and recommended! And better to eat it directly as it still hot or warm. I definitely will come back to Myeong-ga for Joep Si Man Du and trying another dish ?

β β β β β This is a hidden gem for Korean food in Kelapa Gading / North Jakarta. If you're tired of eating the usual "big names", this quiet spot makes for a great place for a family dinner. The quality of the meat is excellent, I found it as good or even better than the more famous Korean spots. The side dishes are delicious as well. Worth going, the price is very reasonable as well, there were 17 of us going there last night.

β β β β β They change their name from Myeong Ga Myeon Ok to King Ga , dunno why but i think they need to maintain their taste, it's already ok but need improvement. Price is cheap compare to another korean restaurant.

β β β β β Our first time eating at this branch of myeong ga myeong ok. We used to eat at the one in karawaci. The name has changed to King Ga though, but the plate were still stating Myeong Ga Myeong Ok.
After a very long time, I had the most pleasant and elaborate service while eating here. We were just 2 persons, but were offered the private room without minimum charge. The place was quite empty, probably because of the pandemic.
The manager in charge, Miss Dara, served us complementary drink while weβre waiting for our order to be cooked. After a while, she knocked our door to offer us the complementary dish, a full size of japchae. Lastly, after we finish our payment, we even received a very thoughtful gift. The waiter and server were all very kind and helpful.
Taste wise, I believe they have room for improvement. The japchae was delicious but a bit oily, the grilled meat was juicy but a bit bland, the seollongtang was soothing but a bit bland as well. I enjoyed the side dish, the pajeon, the generous kimchi and vegetables.
The price was very appropriate for full stomach and happy customer experiencin a fine dining-like service! Definitely coming back!

β β β β β I eat at this restaurant many times, my first time is at their branch which located in lippo (If I'm not mistaken) back then, the korean bbq was delicious, side dish tasty and many variety compare to other Korbeq I've tried.
The one in Kelapa Gading located quiet hidden from the main road.
I love the nangmyeon here, cold noodles serve with gochujang sauce and some kind of chicken broth. The broth is amazing, served with separate stainless teapot and pour to a cup.
The bossam is also amazing. Steam (I think) samchan pork served with kimchi and other veggies, if you are bored with bbq pork, do try this. Their portion are huge .
The mandu is delicious, the size of it is huge, generous filling and delicious, you have to eat it with the sauce, it's perfect. One mandu probably could fill you up since the size is big.
Many side dish as well, they serve chicken something and fish as side dish.
Sadly, the korbeq is not as good as the one in another branch. The meat is hard to chew on and dry, not to mention tasteless.
Kimchi jiggae also very sour, I've been eating a lot of kimchi jiggae, and this one is very sour , couldn't taste anything except sourness.
Service is fine, although korbeq took a long time, don't know what took them so long to help us grill the meat.
Overall, this restaurant is my go to if I'm craving for nangmyeon or bossam, not the korbeq though.
