First visit here, I'm pretty amazed for our trip, we taking tolls to get here, don't get surprised when you find trucks with big container :) you will be charge for parking entrance fee in front of their gate around 3000 until 5000 rupiahs. Their parking lot was big enough and it seems very clean, though its near a harbour or a beach, hehehehe... Their building from what I see contains 2 level, the first level you will find a modern fish market, such a big market there, you will find many kind of fish and so on, I think it's as big as a half international football arena, and their toilet was amazingly clear for a fish market. In front of it, you can find many ATMs. For their second level, you will find a food hall, which you can helped to cook your things that you bought in it's first floor. I suggest you come here at 17 and so on, so you will see how crowded they are and have many options, but if you want a little bit relax, you can still visit here at 15.30 so it won't be so crowded. Similar to traditional market you can bargain what you want to buy there, from small fish until the big ones, from squid to sotong (what you call on english... Wkwkwkwk). I was pretty satisfied when I come here, make sure you buy something there for you stock for a few days, if your not, then I think your cost for transportation will be to high if you stay in remote area. Well, that's all I can share with you guys.

A modern fish market located in northern side of Jakarta. The place is surely a big improvement compared to its past condition. Fisherman can now directly unload and sell their catches right away in a newly built marketplace. The place gain some hype after it was launched by the president and some people expected it to be more like a tourist spot. Its Not. The place still cater to meet the needs for restaurant and resellers so although you can buy catches of the day, the seller would somehow expect you to buy in bulk. Lay out of the market is well designed so you can get around quite easy, but for those "tourist" kind visitor should expect slippery floors and fishy smells (its a market afterall) There is a food court on the 2nd floor, clean and quite comfortable. You can directly grill the items you buy in the market or the restaurant can help you to get your fish. Just tell them what you want a violla a cooked seafood dish is yours to enjoy.

A place where you can get fresh seafood, and also frozen ones. We usually come here once a month to buy tenggiri fish, prawns and squid. By at about 5pm we would be here, and it usually start to crowd around 6pm. Most seafood are seen frozen and at that time, sellers are seen busy sorting the seafood according to the size into different containers in which it is then sold at different prices, of course. Transactions are only in cash. Some stalls do not provide plastic bags especially when you buy big sized fishes, so do bring your own water proof bags. Typically the type of seafood sold here are the local fishes, and affordable ones. I would strongly recommend to wear a water proof sandals and boots as your feet can easily get wet. It is a very wet market style here. On the upper floor, there are restaurants serving seafood, you can eat there or buy your own seafood and get the restaurant to cook for you there itself.
