Pasalnya, Pemerintah Kabupaten (Pemkab) Pati melalui kota kecilnya bernama Pati menyabet piala Adipura Kencana dari Kementerian Lingkungan Hidup RI.L alu, apa bedanya Adipura dengan Adipura Kencana? Namun, piala Adipura Kencana diberikan kepada kota yang berhasil meraih piala Adipura sebanyak empat kali. Dengan keberhasilan kota Pati meraih piala Adipura Kencana, berarti kota Pati telah mendapatkan penghargaan piala Adipura sebanyak empat kali dari Pemerintah RI. Setelah penghargaan Adipura Kencana dikirab oleh Pemkab Pati beberapa bulan yang lalu, saat ini penghargaan tersebut akan diabadikan dalam tugu Adipura Kota Pati.Bupati Pati Haryanto mengatakan bahwa Piala Adipura Kencana adalah milik masyarakat Pati bersama. Karena itu, piala yang menunjukkan keberhasilan kota Pati di bidang kebersihan dan lingkungan hidup tersebut dikirab serta diabadikan bersama patung Adipura menggantikan piala lama. Dengan demikian, Patung Adipura Kabupaten Pati telah menjadi landmark dan simbol bahwa masyarakat yang berada di dalamnya telah berhasil menjunjung tinggi nilai-nilai kebersihan dan lingkungan hidup.Jadi, tugu Adipura Kota Pati sekarang ini sudah berganti nama dengan Adipura Kencana yang secara otomatis menunjukkan kepada publik bahwa Kota Pati berhasil meraih penghargaan Adipura sebanyak empat kali.Deskripsi patung Adipura Kota Pati sendiri didesain dengan tiga orang yang tengah membawa piala di mana masing-masing tangannya membawa peralatan untuk kebersihan, seperti sapu dan cangkul. Tepat di tugu yang menjadi pijakan tiga patung mengangkat piala tersebut terdapat tulisan baru yang tidak dijumpai sebelumnya, yaitu “Adipura Kencana”.Piala Adipura Kencana Kota Pati diserahkan pada tanggal 5 Juni 2014 kepada Bupati Pati Haryanto di Istana Wakil Presiden. Hal ini menjadi momen yang ditunggu-tunggu lantaran tujuh tahun kota Pati tidak lagi mendapatkan penghargaan Adipura.Ingin melihat Patung Adipura Kota Pati yang terbaru dengan label Kencana? Silakan lewat menuju persimpangan jalan Kolonel Sunandar, tepatnya di depan Gedung Olahraga (GOR) Pati atau di depan kawasan pertokoan Plaza Puri Pati. Right on the monument where the three statues lift the trophy, there is a new inscription that was not seen before, namely "Adipura Kencana". The Adipura Kencana Trophy in Pati City was handed over on June 5, 2014 to Pati Regent Haryanto at the Vice President's Palace.
