The sushi and sashimi here are no doubt, one of the best in town. They serve high quality and fresh ingredients. My personal choice: salmon sashimi and tuna mayo gunkan. Yum!

Food 3/10 Atmosphere 5/10 Service 3/10 Price $$(compare to food quality and taste....over price) First of all , Not authentic Japanese. I don't think any of chef been or work experience in Authentic Japanese restaurant or had Japanese food in Japan. Poor presentation, wrong way to handling Zaru soba , should put soba on the drainage plate and Not serve with miced Ginger and raw egg(small bird egg) for dipping sauce. (Where this idea from.???) In Japan, Only egg York for Skiyaki or shabu shabu dipping sauce not whole egg. Not for Zaru soba... Shabu shabu Suace serve with " raw garlic??".... Japanese barley use raw garlic for any sauces. Or very minimal garlic in Japanese food. Korean use lots of raw garlic. M Block area has many authentic Japanese restaurant, Midori chefs should go there and experience real Japanese food.

Nonexistent service plus nonexistent beer (albeit being in the menu). Obviously this is not the place for serious japanese foodie (no single Japanese person is observed), people who are happy enough with so-so ramen kind.

Good salmon β€œteriyaki” or sweet sauce, β€œyasai” or veggie β€œtempura” or battered fried, salmon head β€œshioyaki” or salted grilled, and β€œyaki onigiri” or grilled rice cakes. Service a bit slow but acceptable still for we ordered grilled food which taking a bit longer to cook. Reasonable price too!

A classic japanese restaurant in the middle of 'modern' japanese food scene, midori offers comforting japanese food which nowadays seems hellbent on fusion food everywhere. Frequent patrons seem to confirm my observation. Midori menu came right from early 2000 era where the menu reflects a classic japanese fare. Their offering is solid and i recommends their nabe although the vegetables need to be cut more evenly. The service are good, prices are right. Recommended.

Classic Japanese style. Delicious and high standard. Zarusoba: its rare that serves quail egg as the topping. Tempura also well fried not oily. New menu is quite fusion. Taste ok. And price is worth it.
