The mosque is large, magnificent, but still under renovation and is almost complete. Maybe still waiting for more funds to build two towers.

Arti masjid
Terkait arti masjid ini, Pakar Tafsir Al-Qur’an asal Indonesia, Muhammad Quraish Shihab dalam buku karyanya Wawasan Al-Qur’an: Tafsir Maudhu'i atas Pelbagai Persoalan Umat (Mizan, 2000) menguraikan, kata masjid terulang sebanyak 28 (dua puluh delapan) kali di dalam Al-Qur’an.
Wallahu ‘alam bisshowab.
People call the mosque a house of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala that is used to perform prayers. In addition, mosques are also used for the process of studying and teaching religion or religion. However, there are many things that can be realized through the mosque for the purpose of broadening the community.
It shows that besides being able to uphold the religion of Allah SWT, the mosque can also be used to promote prosperity and social order through religious preaching. If Indonesia is made up of a hostile society, then the mosque should proclaim its coolness in everyday life practice.
The Qur'an mentions the functions of mosques among others in the Word of Allah Almighty:
"Glorify Allah in the mosques which He has commanded to glorify and call His name therein in the morning and evening, those who are not neglected by business, and not (by any means) by any sale, or any activity and remembrance Allah, and (from) setting up prayers, paying alms, they are afraid of a day when (their hearts) and visions will be shaken. " (QS. An-Nur: 36-37)
The command is not only pronounced Subhanallah, but rather broadly, according to the meaning covered by the word and its context. While these meanings and contexts can be concluded by the word taqwa.
While piety itself is created not only in the minhas (relationship with Allah), but also in the minimas (relationships with men) and the minaras (the relationship with nature). At this point, the mosque should serve as a turning point for social justice in all areas.
The meaning of the mosque
Concerning the meaning of this mosque, Indonesian Qur'anic Interpreter Muhammad Quraish Shihab in his book Qur'anic Insights: Maudhu'i's Interpretation of Various Issues of the People (Mizan, 2000) elaborated, saying the mosque repeated 28 (two twenty-eight) times in the Qur'an. In terms of language, the word mosque is taken from the root of the word prostration, which means obedience, obedience, and submissiveness and obedience.
Putting the forehead, hands, knees, and feet on the ground, which is later called prostration by the Shari'a, is the most outward form of the above meanings. That is why a building dedicated to performing prayers is called a mosque, meaning "place of worship."
In the everyday sense, the mosque is a building where Muslims pray. However, because its roots have the meaning of submissiveness and obedience, then the fact that the mosque is the place to perform all activities that involve obedience to God alone. Therefore the Qur'an refers to Al-Jin verse 18, for example, affirming that:
"Surely the mosques belong to Allah, for you must worship nothing but Allah." (QS. Al-Jin: 18)
In addition, the Quraish Shihab in the same book also states that the Messenger of Allah 'alaihi wasallam said, "It has been made for me (and for my people) the earth as a mosque and a means of sanctification." (HR Bukhari and Muslim through Jabir bin Abdullah).
If the Prophet associated the mosque with this earth, then it is clear that the mosque is not just a place of worship and a means of purification. Not only does it mean building a place of prayer, or even commemorating it as a way of purifying the ablution, but the mosque also means a place for performing all human activities that reflects obedience to Allah Almighty. Wallahu 'bisshowab nature.
