★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Kampung Krapyak Wetan terletak di perbatasan dua daerah yaitu Kota Yogyakarta dan Kabupaten Bantul. Sebelah utara Kecamatan Mantrijeron, kota Yogyakarta, sebelah barat Pabrik Tekstil dan sehelah timur Parangtritis, sebelah selatan ring road selatan. Dilihat secara global/sosial, kampung ini padat penduduknya, sebagian besar berstatus mukim (tetap/asli) dan sebagian lagi tidak tetapi pendatang/pelajar/mahasiswa (kontrak/kos). Mayoritas penduduknya adalah ekonomi bawah dan menengah pendidikan mayoritas sampai Sekolah Dasar (SD), dengan mata pencaharian buruh serta mayoritas penduduknya muslim.
Pembangunan masjid Ar Rahman ini pada dasarnya memiliki tujuan yang sangat mulia, yakni semata-mata untuk mencari ridho Allah SWT. Namun lebih terperincinya pembangunan masjid ini adalah sebagai berikut:
Membangun media sarana ibadah umat Islam
Sarana Syi'ar agama Islam
Meningkatkan prestasi ibadah, ukhuwah islamiah dan silaturohmi
Pembentukan generasi bangsa islami yang qurani, cerdas, terampil. bertanggung jawab dan berakhlak mulia
Media membangun kesadaran publik/kolektif demi tercapainya perjuangan hidup dan kehidupan mulia
Sarana mewujudkan kehidupan masyarakat yang sholeh, sejahtera dan diridhoi Allah SWT
Media meminimalisir terhadap herbagai masalah sosial kemasyarakatan yang muncul akibat dari gejolak-gejolak sosial dimasyarakat.

Kampung Krapyak Wetan is located on the border of two regions, namely Yogyakarta City and Bantul Regency. To the north of the District of Mantrijeron, Yogyakarta city, to the west of the Textile Factory and to the east of Parangtritis, to the south of the southern ring road. Seen globally / socially, this village is densely populated, most of whom have the status of mukim (permanent / original) and some are not but migrants / students / students (contract / boarding house). The majority of the population is from lower and secondary levels of education, the majority of which are elementary school (SD), with labor as a living and the majority of the population is Muslim.
The construction of the Ar Rahman mosque basically has a very noble goal, which is solely to seek the pleasure of Allah SWT. However, in more detail the construction of this mosque is as follows:

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Masjid di tengah kampung, hanya beberapa meter dari masjid Jogokaryan, sayang masjidnya hanya buka ketika jam-jam sholat selain itu masjid di kunci. Masyarakatnya ramah dan kalau habis sholat Jumat ada pembagian Snack atau nasi bagi jamaah.
The mosque is in the middle of the village, just a few meters from the Jogokaryan mosque, unfortunately the mosque is only open when the prayer hours besides the mosque are at the key. The community is friendly and if you finish Friday prayer there is a distribution of Snack or rice for worshipers.
