Berdasarkan versi sejarah Dinas purbakala DKI Jakarta, masjid ini dibangun pada 22 Juni 1527, persis sama dengan HUT kota Jakarta. Menjadikannya sebagai masjid tertua yang ada di jakarta bersama dengan masjid Al-Alam Marunda yang dibangun ditahun dan oleh orang yang sama. Letaknya berada di jalan rekreasi cilincing Jakarta utara, tepatnya di sebelah pasar ikan cilincing atau 18 Km dari pusat kota jakarta.

The mosque which was founded by Prince Fatahillah when he was about to take Sunda Kelapa from the Portuguese was of great value to the history of Jakarta and Indonesia. Now this mosque is managed daily by "The Al-Alam Cilincing Mosque Foundation, North Jakarta".
Based on the historical version of the DKI Jakarta Antiquities Service, this mosque was built on June 22, 1527, exactly the same as the anniversary of the city of Jakarta. Making it the oldest mosque in Jakarta along with the Al-Alam Marunda mosque which was built in the same year and by the same person. It is located on the Cilincing Recreational Street, North Jakarta, precisely next to the Cilincing Fish Market or 18 Km from the center of Jakarta.
