★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I've been waiting for a long time for this store to open in Kelapa Gading District. The store are located in Mall of Indonesia in the Dotonbori section (near KFC). I tried the ramen set that consist of Marutama / Karashi Ramen, iced green tea and matcha parfait. The ramen itself is very delicious because the broth are not too heavy like the usual japanese "tonkotsu ramen" but rather light and very enjoyable. The noodle itself is thin and chewy and perfectly cooked.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the best ramen restaurants is now finally open in Mall of Indonesia, Kelapa Gading. It is located inside the Dotonburi Foodtown area. The modern interior design makes the ambience kinda different with the first branch I used to visit in Plaza Senayan. And for the food, I still love the original taste of their Tamago Ramen. I ordered Tamago Ramen Set (1 small size of Tamago Ramen, 1 side dish, and 1 ocha). The noodle texture is typically thin and soft. The broth (claimed as chicken broth) is kinda light but righteously flavored. You can choose the type of meat (chicken or pork), broth (shio, miso, shoyu, black garlic), spicy or non spicy.
Try their Ichigo (Matcha) Parfait. It's surprisingly very good as well.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Marutama opens their third Indonesian branch at Dotonbori food court, Mall of Indonesia (MOI). Originally from Japan, this ramen restaurant firstly opens the branch at Singapore. Until now, they expand the business to Canada, Malaysia, and Indonesia. Although this branch is located in a food court, but they have their own small space. There are for about eight tables with four chairs in each table.
Famous with their richly-textured, smell good, and tasty chicken and collagen soup, they provide chicken and pork as the topping. The choices of the broth are Shio (original and rich in collagen), Miso, Shoyu, and Black Garlic. We also could request for spicy or non spicy.
Here are what we tried :
Zenbu Ramen (IDR 99,900)
This is the most complete Marutama Ramen with huge portion and make me full! I chose pork as the topping in less spicy.
A bowl of straight noodle with thin slices of super tasty pork chasiu, thick slices of pork along with the lard, boiled egg, seaweed, and a lot of spring onions. The broth smells good and has a light taste. The chili powder here does not spicy at all. If you are a spicy fan, you better request for the sliced chili.
Shirunasi Ramen Set (IDR 84,900)
A set menu that consists of dried ramen, choices of chicken karaage or gyoza, along with hot or cold ocha.
- Shirunasi Ramen
I chose pork as the topping. The dried serving ramen with the broth served separately. Noodle with delicious sliced pork chasiu, fried onions, and spring onions. The taste will be tastier if you add on the broth little by little.
- Gyoza
I tried both chicken and pork gyoza. Both taste quite good. Eat it along with the sauce to get the combination taste of savory and a little bit sour.
Ichigo (Matcha) Parfait (IDR 32,900)
Mix of strawberry, jelly, cornflakes, and fresh matcha ice cream. The taste is less sweet and that time the strawberry was not sour. It is a fresh dessert indeed!
Yuzu Lychee Ice Tea (IDR 29,900)
Cold drink that consists of yuzu tea and sliced lychee. The yuzu taste is not dominant at all, so that it does not sour.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is the branch of the one at the basement level of Plaza Senayan. To be honest, it is somehow very different than Senayan. The place here is more of what you usually call "express" and very limited. In terms of food, the pork version is okay but we feel that the chicken is a bit lacking of aroma and taste. In the world of ramen, this may struggle as the price point is also not that cheap compared to others. Lastly, the condiments are a little lacking; only fried garlic, pepper (that is not hot even after pouring 1/5 of it) & chilli flakes. We prefer to have sesame oil and the usual crushed garlic
