★ ★ ★ ★ ★ K.H. Nawawi Abdul Aziz lahir dan tinggal di pelosok desa Kutoarjo, Purworejo. Beliau merupakan putra dari seorang petani. Setiap harinya beliau disibukkan dengan mencari ilmu.
Memasuki usia remaja, beliau melanjutkan pengembaraan ke pesantren Lirap, dilanjutkan ke pesantren Tugung Banyuwangi. Pengembaraannya tak hanya berhenti di situ. Beliau lalu meneruskan belajar Al Quran di Krapyak. Beliau tetap giat mencari ilmu di tengah zaman kolonialisme saat itu. Bahkan setelahnya, atas izin guri beliau, KH abdul Qodir, beliau melanjutkan ngaji ke Yanbua Kudus.
Selama masa mengaji di Krapyak, beliau dinikahkan dengan adik dari K.H. Abdul Qodir, yakni Ibu Ny. Walidah Munawwir. Setelah berkeluarga, beliau tergerak untuk mendirikan pesantren di daerah Ngrukem, tempat persinggahan beliau selama pulang pergi mengajar Kutoarjo-Krapyak. Pernikahannya melahirkan anak yang kemudian melanjutkan memegang pesantren An Nuur Ngrukem.
K.H. Nawawi Abdul Aziz was born and lived in the remote village of Kutoarjo, Purworejo. He is the son of a farmer. Every day he is busy with searching for knowledge.
Entering the age of adolescence, he continued his journey to Lantana pesantren, followed by the pesantren Tugung Banyuwangi. His adventure not only stops there. He then continued to study the Koran at Krapyak. He continued to seek knowledge in the middle of the colonial period. Even afterwards, on his permit, KH abdul Qodir, he continued to run to Yanbua Kudus.
During his time in Krapyak, he married a younger brother of K.H. Abdul Qodir, Mrs. Ny. Walidah Munawwir. After a family, he was moved to establish a boarding school in Ngrukem district, where his stopover during the return trip taught Kutoarjo-Krapyak. Her marriage gave birth to a child who then continued to hold An Nuur Ngrukem pesantren.
