★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Madrasah ibtidaiyah (disingkat MI) adalah jenjang paling dasar pada pendidikan formal di Indonesia, setara dengan Sekolah Dasar, yang pengelolaannya dilakukan oleh Kementerian Agama. Pendidikan madrasah ibtidaiyah ditempuh dalam waktu 6 tahun, mulai dari kelas 1 sampai kelas 6. Lulusan madrasah ibtidaiyah dapat melanjutkan pendidikan ke madrasah tsanawiyah atau sekolah menengah pertama.
Kurikulum madrasah ibtidaiyah sama dengan kurikulum sekolah dasar, hanya saja pada MI terdapat porsi lebih banyak mengenai pendidikan agama Islam.
Madrasah ibtidaiyah (abbreviated as MI) is the most basic level of formal education in Indonesia, equivalent to elementary school, which is managed by the Ministry of Religion. Madrasah ibtidaiyah education takes 6 years, starting from grade 1 to grade 6. Madrasah ibtidaiyah graduates can continue their education to madrasah tsanawiyah or junior high school.
The madrasah ibtidaiyah curriculum is the same as the elementary school curriculum, it's just that in MI there is a larger portion of Islamic religious education.
