The location of LLL's boutique is tricky to find but rewarding. The alley to the boutique is passable only by one car at a time. But once inside you'd find an open field and to the left you go. Next to a joglo building of a restaurant, there is a small path that leads to the small boutique and gallery that is very minimalist and zen, with a pond of koi fish separating the two. And if you're a fan of his works and ready to shop, they take all major credit and debit cards.

One of my favorite places in Jogja. Situated at the heart of Kotagede where Pasar Kotagede is just around the corner. This boutique offers an exclusive selections of hand woven outfits.

One of Jogja's heritage place, a historical mixed with well internationally known designer flagstore. A unique and homeheartedly place to visit and shop.

dissapoint with the service. Even the design is unique and i was willing to try one or two designs, three of us only spent 10 minutes there as we were dissapointed with the way store manager handled customer. Unwilling to assist and answered our question unfriendly. We decided to leave just because of that. Service is everything specially for designer clothes.

Lulu Lutfi Labibi is one of the high profile designer in Indonesia. Unlike many nationally acclaimed designers, he is based in Yogyakarta. He consistently using lurik, a traditional weaving fabric native to Yogyakarta. His designs are influenced by Japanese wabisabi aesthetic and he mainly uses draping technique. His career was launched after winning Indonesia's Fashion Designer Competition (Lomba Perancang Mode) 2011. He since has received various awards in Indonesia, notably Dewi Fashion Knights 2015, and collaborated with various artists, such as Indiguerillas in ARTJOG 2015. This studio is his boutique and workshop, by far the only place to buy his collections. It is run by Lulu himself, along with some family and friends. It is located in the heart of Yogyakarta's old town, Kotagedhe. Right next to his terrace is an old Javanese hall called pendhapa, in which a neighbor sells traditional dish called brongkos. I have always loved this place, which reminds me of my grandparent's old Javanese house, with contemporary alterations. The greenery makes his studio cool and fresh. The ambience is rather calm, almost silent. You can stop by to take a look at his designs (they will let you explore the places yourself) and then visit the diner after. Lulu is very down to earth and likes being anonymous, but sometimes by chance you will meet him when he hangs with his friends. Oh, and he takes care a lot of stray cats. Don't be surprised if you found one of these cuties around!

A high ended collection of fashion. Coutour pieces displayed so beautifully. These aren't ordinary clothing I'm wearing everyday, but surely lovely to own some of its beautiful dresses, shorts and pants. You'll find yourself surrounded by ethnicity of Indonesian culture and the hospitality of Javanese architecture. No wonder many of tourists come and by here often. Good job LLL.

Noone can design like him. Beautifully crafted clothings incorporating Lurik that is authentic to Jogja. The studio itself has become a destination of its own for tourists who come to admire and shop Mas Lulu's masterpieces. If you're lucky, you'll get to meet the man himself and his sister, Mba Hamie, who own the space and they will be happy to serve you one of the most delicious (and heartwarming) drinks you'll ever taste-Asem.
