★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's the basecamp for the geologist,especially the beginner ones..the place is very comfortable with a huge area and many rooms for studying.the bedroom is also clean..it's perfect,if you ask my opinion

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A complete museum about geological contents of Melange Complex in Karangsambung. This place has many rocks collection and allows you to make your own souvenir gemstone called “Batu Akik”. This museum also provides you to make a geological tour (named Geotrek) to some geological site around the museum. Also there is a guest house and barracks for students who takes a field trip. The location is reachable from Kebumen City (about 20 km).

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is one among the few site with complex geological structures, outcrops and paleontology evidences that need to be secured for education purpose on top of geological and geographical tourism. I have very big concern as geologist that many of the sites has been destroyed for commercial purpose (crushed and sold the stones for construction by the land owners).
This place is historical to the geologist.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ LIPI is the most complete stone research site in Indonesia. This place was made by students from all over Indonesia to do research on rocks. This place is now more beautiful, because it has been treated and trimmed every day. LIPI also has a hall that can be a place that is rented for various types of events that require a large room, for example during school graduation events .

The center is over education actifities for student from local and national areas who will learn more about kind of stone. There was a shop and workshop facilities and available so many beautiful stone and gemstone also
