★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I visited this Gapoktan last week on Friday. This union of farmer's group is an example of a success in the management of farmer groups. There are many business activities run by the Gapoktan. They can manage to supply 270 ton of rice per month, even-though they only have 150 ha of paddy fields. They have a network of providing rice with 18 others of Gapoktan in Sleman District. This business was firstly supported by the Government in providing and installing semi modern of RMU worth at IDR 255.8 M (in 2012). At present the Gapoktan rice milling and marketing business is very profitable. I think Gapoktan Sidomulyo deserves to be visited by farmers who want to advance and succeed in the agribusiness in groups, including in the direction of farmers corporations.
This location of this Gapoktan is also not far from Soeharto Museum in the Kemusuk Village, Godean Sub-district, Sleman, Yogjakarta.
