★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tons of varieties for Indonesian food.. local themed diner with very fair price.. service was good.. all waiter was full of smile and helpfull.. parking also available for about 5 or 6 cars.. backyard view facing some paddy field.. Recommended: Pepes Telur Asin, varies of satay and their bawal.. some free drink offered in Monday and Tuesday (as per March 2018)..

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Buffet style restaurant with rice padi field view. The place I most often visit for lunch when in Salatiga.
Food wise, they have a good variety of Indonesian food, from soups, fried stuff, grilled stuff, vegetables, precut fruits. The ones I ordered the most are the tempe kering with salted fish, sup matahari (soup with minced meat and vegetables)and daun papaya (vegetable). I also like their mendoan (breaded tempe?) and gambyas (breaded tempe residue?)..There are also fried rice and the healthy red rice, other than the regular one on this branch.
There are 2 branches that I know of. Both are good, clean, comfortable, lovely places. Some items are available in one places, some are not. Both has clean restrooms with squat toilet only.

So many choices, and I enjoyed the “rambutan soup” which is not really rambutan but a chicken mince ball with carrot, garlic, and rice vermicelli noodles in a broth soup that kind of looks like a hairy rambutan.

You may even cater your events, big and small, with boxed meals from Lawuh Ndeso. It also has a view unlike any other. Very much recommended to visit every now and then! Brings back memories with its nostalgic, old school deco.
