★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A very well known restaurant name in Pontianak now opens at Jakarta selling the famous kwecap (fried pig skin). The bowl consist of many ingredients starting from sliced pork meat, pork meatball, peanuts, steam soybean, tofu, tofu skin and many more. If you are a fans of innards, you can also have your bowl with topping of pork innards. As a side dish, you can have rice or the traditional roll sticky kwetiaw. All menu is served hot and fresh from the making. A bowl of warmth to kickstart the day. Definitely a recommendation pitstop to fill your tummy. Looking for another place to have dinner. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Kwecap Veteran is one of the legendary kwecap since 1994 that has a restaurant in Pontianak as well. They provide some packages with variant toppings that you could choose based on your favorite. Each package includes kwee, white rice, and noodle that you could choose. The price is high rather than the usual kwecap that we could find at a street food stall.
I tried Paket B (IDR 67,000). This is the most complete package that consits of the clear and savory broth with pork skin, pork meat, pork liver, pork meatball, bean curd, bean stick, and soybeans. I chose kwee as the topping. The taste is good, and the broth isn't that oily.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you like soup based dish, you're going to love this. They have meatballs, pork rind, tofu, soy beans and meat in one dish for a package. I personally are not fond of the meat since it's not as tasty as the others. Make sure you have the soy sauce and the chillis on the side.
