★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you're looking for breakfast spot around Thamrin area, Oey Kopitiam could be one of the better options around. Located in one of the most popular culinary street in Jakarta - Jalan Sabang, this humble coffee shop is frequently visited by international tourists looking to indulge in authentic local establishment. Also a popular hangout spot for youngsters, this place could feel stuffed during peak hours. Smoking area is located at the 2nd floor.
They serve different menus on each meal time (breakfast - lunch - dinner) and unfortunately we can't order any food from other meal time so the choice gets kinda limited.
Favorite choice for breakfast: Bubur Ayam Oey (porridge with chicken broth soup & various toppings) or any Toast Bread (I recommend the Srikaya & Choco Cheese) to go with your morning cup of coffee. The Club Sandwich is also great though it took longer time to be served so if you’re not in rush it should be no problem. I tried the Nasi Tiem Ajam Petak 9 but sadly the rice tasted like porridge and the chicken wasn't up to my expectation of normal steamed chicken rice. For light bites, I would recommend the Singkong Goreng Sambal Roa, crispy & tasty.
And yes, you definitely shouldn't miss the Koffie Susu Indotjina (Vietnamese coffee) - black coffee drip with condensed milk. One of the best milk coffee ever & perfect choice for caffeine fiend!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice little place with numerous menu. It has vintage ambience. The food is quite mediocre, and the price is reasonable. Too bad the service is so slow. I have to wait for quite a long time for my order to be arrived. I would recommend its thai tea cause it’s so delicious!

Spacious parking lot outside Jalan Sabang, smoking area available. Don’t forget to try their varieties Nasi Goreng and V60 coffee. Cheers

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great place to hang out in the heart of Jakarta. Nice meal and coffee with Indonesian Coffee Speciality. You can enjoy your lunch or even dinner with their Indonesian food menus. Do not worry if you want to working with laptop, because they provide free wifi and socket charging. This building really aesthethic with Chinese old ornament dominated inside. There are restrooms and Mosque to support comfortness. Enjoy

Vietnam coffee here is the best, I also order bubur ayam which is also pretty decent. Haven't tried the other menu, but I think it will not be disappointing.
