★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Kintaro Sushi is a premium Japanese restaurant which serves a lot of menu, such as fresh sushi, salad, appetizer, tempura, sashimi, gyukatsu, donburi, noodles, udon, soba, along with desserts and beverages. Their outlet in PIK is located at Rukan Beach View of Golf Island. The place with Japanese decoration and ambiance is so comfortable. It consists of two floors where there are some private rooms on the second floor.
The funny thing is there's only one restroom for both gent and ladies on the second floor, so I heard some customers complained about it ?
During the pandemic, everyone have to wear face mask and do temperature checking. The staff also sanitizes each table for the new customers. The menu can be accessed through our mobile phone by scanning the barcode that is available on each table.
Here are what we tried :
Nori Nachos (IDR 55,000)
It is not the Mexican nachos at all. This menu is actually a plate of crispy fried tempura seaweed topped with sliced beef, tobiko, white sesame, green onions, along with mayonnaise and mentai sauce. Nori Nachos is suitable as a sharing side dish.
Salmon Teriyaki Don (IDR 85,000)
A bowl of white rice served with grilled salmon in teriyaki sauce, egg, crunchy tempura, green onions, and seaweed. When ordering, I've already requested the staff to make the egg cooked well, but unfortunately when the dish came to my table, the egg was half cooked. Then I asked them to make it cooked well I've requested before.
You know what, it took for about 20 minutes to exchange the egg ?
I've asked several times, but still it came longer than expected. That's why I'm quite disappointed with the service ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Found this restaurant while strolling along in The Cove. Tried and we were welcomed with a very japanese atmosphere and decoration. They also play a soothing traditional instrumental in the background so the japanese-ness gets more intense yet gives off more coziness. We were served by Rossi and she really took really good care of us. Very attentive and initiative. Great job mba Rossi! I ordered chuka wakame salad, chicken katsu don, and bomb roll. All of them are aesthetically pleasing especially the salad. The vegetables are fresh, even my picky friend can atest to that. What's interesting is the bomb roll. They made it look like an actual bomb which is very fun. Haha. It also tastes very good. Howeverrr, the price is a bit too much, but given the location, the taste, and overall my experience with it, I can understand. 5/5 will visit again ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Premium Japanase restaurant located in Golf Islamd PIK. I found that the combination and the decor is very beautiful. The service was top notch. They provide wifi. I tried the gyukatsu, even though we cooked by ourself, but the quality of the meat is superb. Feels like melted in my mouth. Def will come back!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice place, helpful and friendly staffs, so many choices of food and they’re all good! Quiet cheap compared to other japanese/sushi resto with same ambience. I suggest you to try black gyukatsu and chicken nanban! Cheff’s kiss.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have high expectation for this resto because the reviews are so good. it turned out to be not my liking.
salmon skin was so dry, cold (not freshly fried) and a bit fishy. udon soup was okay, but a bit salty.
the biggest disappointment is sushi's taste :(
I'm a fan of sushi bomb and theirs was really far from my expectation. their signature sushi (the one with half boiled egg) was so so.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good Japanese food, not too expensive overall compared to similar sushi places. Located at Cove PIK, the Japanese ambience of the place and the food presentation are fun and feels authentic. Bought Bomb Roll as in the image, it was tasty and really catches the eye. We were served by Rossy, among others, who is attentive and quickly responding to our requests. Good experience overall!
