Menurut warga setempat bahwa keberadaan burung-burung tersebut sebelumnya tak pernah ada di daerah ini. Hingga akhirnya pada tahun 1997 saat Sri Sultan Hamengkubuwono X bersama dengan Kanjeng Ratu Hemas secara khusus datang untuk meresmikan sebuah jalan aspal yang merupakan hasil swadaya warga. Tiga bulan setelahnya, burung-burung mulai berdatangan secara berkelompok.

According to local residents that the existence of these birds had never existed in this area.
