In the past, when I was in this junior high school, it was very difficult to wear the hijab, thank God, now many are using it, progressing and succeeding at SMPN 62

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Menjadi bagian dari sejarah sekolah ini adalah sesuatu bagiku.
Alhamdulillah saya diberi kesempatan belajar di SMPN 62 Jakarta, no induk 4062. Sekolah yang jaraknya sekitar 2 km dari rumah orangtua saya selama 3 tahun saya tempuh dengan berjalan kaki. Saya sekolah di sini masuk tanggal 15 Juli 1981, waktu itu masih menempati gedung YAKE di samping kantor walikota Jakarta Timur yang lama. Dari SD saya yang diterima di sini ada 9 orang, 8 laki-laki & 1 perempuan. Setiap kali berangkat & pulang selalu lewat jalan tikus menyusuri kali kecil yang berwarna hitam & beraroma wah. Lewat pintu kecil hingga sampai lokasi sekolah.
Tidak lama kemudian bedol sekolah, tanggal 31 Agustus 1981 SMPN 62 pindah ke lokasi sekarang yang sebelumnya ditempati oleh SMAN 54 Jakarta. Bersama dengan Pasar Pramuka & Komplek Pendidikan Salemba, lokasi sekolah ini diresmikan penggunaannya oleh Presiden Soeharto beserta Ibu Tien dengan nama Komplek Pendidikan Rawa Bunga dengan 4 bangunan sekolah yaitu SDN Rawa Bunga 2 gedung, SMPN 62 & SMAN 54 serta satu gedung untuk Kelurahan Rawa Bunga. Di sekolah ini saat kelas 2 tahun 1982 saya diajar IPA Fisika & Biologi oleh Bapak Hari Mulyadi sebagai salah seorang guru yang menjadikan saya tertarik dengan IPA khususnya Biologi. Kelas 3 juga ketemu lagi dengan Bapak Hari & Matematika dengan Bapak Truman Hutagaol yang memberikan dasar-dasar yang kuat untuk Matematika saya hingga sampai SMA dan sekarang terpakai. Selama SMP saya tidak ikut ekskul tetapi kalau ada kegiatan lomba gerak jalan PMI selalu ikutan, saat kelas 2 & 3 tim kami masuk ke provinsi DKI Jakarta. Tahun 1983 (kelas 3) dibangunlah Perpustakaan Umum Rawa Bunga/Jakarta Timur, sehingga lebih lengkap. Tempat menghabiskan waktu membaca buku/novel hingga tutup.
Tahun 1984 saya lulus dari SMP ini, angkatan saya yang ngetop adalah penyanyi Indah Permatasari (nama panggungnya).
Setelah lulus dari SMP ini saya test masuk SMA, & diterima di SMAN 54 sebagai pilihan pertama.
Sekarang saya seprofesi dengan Pak Hari, yaitu guru Fisika di SMA tapi tidak di Jakarta. Tahun 2019 lalu angkatan saya (6284) berkunjung ke sekolah ini, reunian 35 tahun lulus SMP & sekaligus halal bi halal. Bangunannya sudah berubah, tambah bagus. Satu hal yang tidak saya lupakan adalah B 62 C (Brigade 62 Complex).
Berkat dedikasi guru² di sini yang sangat tinggi memberikan kepercayaan kepada kedua orang tua saya & saudara² saya memilih SMPN 62 sebagai tempat untuk melanjutkan pendidikan menengah pertama.
Alhamdulillah lumayan banyak anggota keluarga saya lulusan 62:
1. Jeftriadi (kakak) & saya lulusan 1984.
2. Junaldi (adik) lulusan 1985. Angkatannya Bambang Utoyo pengisi suara boneka Si Unyil pertama. Lanjut ke SMAN 53 & profesi anggota Polri.
3. Riri Wahyudi (adik) lulusan 1987. Lanjut ke SMAN 54 & pegawai BNI.
4. Anindita Paramitha Putri (ponakan) & Rizky Alfian Ramadhan (suaminya) lulusan 2006. Lanjut ke SMAN 22 & wirausaha.
5. Althaf Raihan Maheswara (ponakan) lulusan 2018. Lanjut ke SMKN 29 & kuliah di FT Jayabaya.
6. Anastasia Ropiah Maheswari (ponakan) lulusan 2019. Lanjut ke SMK Cawang 1.
Being a part of the history of this school is something for me.
Thank God I was given the opportunity to study at SMPN 62 Jakarta, parent number 4062. The school which is about 2 km from my parents' house for 3 years I traveled by foot. I went to school here on July 15, 1981, at that time I was still in the YAKE building next to the old East Jakarta mayor's office. From my elementary school, 9 people were accepted, 8 boys & 1 girl. Every time I leave & go home, I always pass the mouse path along a small black river that smells good. Through the small door to the school location.
Not long after that, on August 31, 1981, SMPN 62 moved to its current location, which was previously occupied by SMAN 54 Jakarta. Together with the Scout Market & Salemba Education Complex, the location of this school was inaugurated by President Soeharto and Mrs. Tien under the name Rawa Bunga Education Complex with 4 school buildings, namely SDN Rawa Bunga 2 buildings, SMPN 62 & SMAN 54 and one building for the Rawa Bunga Village. At this school, when I was in grade 2 in 1982, I was taught Physics & Biology by Mr. Hari Mulyadi as one of the teachers who made me interested in science, especially Biology. Class 3 also met again with Mr. Hari & Mathematics with Mr. Truman Hutagaol who provided solid foundations for my Mathematics up to high school and is now being used. During junior high school, I didn't take extracurricular activities but if there was a walking competition activity, PMI always participated, when in grades 2 & 3 our team entered the province of DKI Jakarta. In 1983 (grade 3), the Rawa Bunga/East Jakarta Public Library was built, so that it was more complete. A place to spend time reading a book/novel until it closes.
In 1984 I graduated from this junior high school, my generation who was popular was singer Indah Permatasari (her stage name).
After graduating from junior high school, I took a high school entrance test, and was accepted at SMAN 54 as my first choice.
Now I'm in the same profession as Pak Hari, who is a physics teacher in high school but not in Jakarta. Last year, my generation (6284) visited this school, a 35-year reunion of graduating from junior high school & at the same time halal bi halal. The building has changed, for the better. One thing I won't forget is the B 62 C (Brigade 62 Complex).
Thanks to the dedication of the teachers here who are very high in giving confidence to both my parents & my brothers and sisters, I chose SMPN 62 as the place to continue my junior high education.
Alhamdulillah, quite a lot of my family members graduated from 62:
1. Jeftriadi (brother) & I graduated in 1984.
2. Junaldi (younger brother) graduated in 1985. His team member, Bambang Utoyo, voiced the first Si Unyil puppet. Continue to SMAN 53 & the profession of a member of the Police.
3. Riri Wahyudi (sister) graduated in 1987. Continued to SMAN 54 & BNI employees.
4. Anindita Paramitha Putri (niece) & Rizky Alfian Ramadhan (husband) graduated in 2006. Continued to SMAN 22 & entrepreneurship.
5. Althaf Raihan Maheswara (nephew) graduated 2018. Continue to SMKN 29 & study at FT Jayabaya.
6. Anastasia Ropiah Maheswari (niece) graduated from 2019. Continue to SMK Cawang 1.
