★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Overall it's a cozy place with excellent service and hospitality. It was my first time dropping by and I usually drink manual brew just because I like plain coffee and enjoy the different notes of various single origin beans.
They only had 1 type of single origin stocked so at first I thought okay lah no choice, but Sunda Aromanis is one of the common beans most cafes would have in stock. They brewed it right, no bitterness, medium body and just the right amount of acidity.
So I asked the barista in charge (suspecting he's head bar) about why there were no other bean options left and he honestly told me the other beans were old. So I understood and continued to enjoy my coffee. Now not long after, he brought me a cup of the beans that he told me were old and not fit for selling.
They weren't good, the barista was honest but what I appreciated the most was that he cared about my verdict on the old coffee and asked the opinion of a customer.
This people, is a trait that all of us should possess as business doers.
Dear Mr Barista, I found out through your partner that you're one of the cafe owners. I just want to thank you for the humility and service. I have never been treated as hospitable as this in any cafe before and this can be your USP.
